Boston Common Was a Good Show

Do you remember that show? Probably not.

Okay, I’m not going to look it up, but I think the guy who was the star of Boston Common also played Sandra Bullock’s boyfriend in The Thing Called Love, one of the very greatest movies of all time. River and Dermot? Get out of here! Too good.

Anyway, here is the Make Way for Ducklings pond at the Boston Public Garden, on what was maybe the most beautiful day of the year.

My friend Stuart and I took a walk, and sat on a bench, and it was so nice. Stuart is a wonderful novelist and he doesn’t like the internet, so I will show you him in a mask in a little bit.

My lipstick is applied weirdly but look at the sunshine! Just perfect.

The best part of going on tour is getting to hug and smooch friends who I haven’t seen in person in years. Pictured here, two of my fave novelist buddies, Courtney Sullivan and Stuart Nadler. Cute as a coupla buttons. You can tell that Stuart is doing math in his head, trying to figure out how to get the hell out of the picture. But he’s so cute! The world needs to know. You know who else is very cute?

Rosha, one of my very best friends from elementary school. She’s a kickass midwife. Do you know how many midwife friends I have? A lot! Midwives are the best.
