Once I was close enough to talk to R Patz and he was talking to not one but TWO people I knew AND he was with his wife who LOVES my friend Stephin Merritt so much and so I would have had things to say to her but I could not, would not, walk the five feet to say hello, no sir.
There were like three jokes and every time one was attempted I wanted to grab Christopher Nolan by the lapels and say, sir, please stay in your lane, this is embarrassing for all of us.
John Leguizamo for president. Talk about an interesting career. I want to be seated next to John Leguizamo at someone’s wedding and have him tell me his whole life story.
It seems really fun to be in the Odyssey but only if you’re not in any the boat scenes, that seems terrible.

I have read The Odyssey several times but no edition is more memorable than the graphic novel version I had as a child which I will now try to find on the internet. Could not find! I can picture that Circe so clearly! Alas!

Jon Bernthal also seems to be a real one. (Could kill you, terrifying.)
Matt Damon does a pretty good job but the abs were really overkill and at the end when he does The Thing and turns into Jason Bourne, I did laugh out loud.
I also cried.
Felt shorter than the He-Man movie despite being a full hour and a half longer.
Two thumbs and one eyeball up. (Cyclops joke.)

Best casting - Samantha Morton by a mile - In America, Sweet & Lowdown, so many other great performances. She is always incredible! So wonderful to see that Nolan decided she would be the perfect Circe. :)
