Literary spouse time! Of course he’s repping for you but of course it is sincere. I loved Ross also, as I blurbed it—hadn’t seen anything like it in so long.
This was such a delight to read! (Thanks, Mike!) Thoughtful, funny, and a great snapshot of a reading life shaped by curiosity rather than speed. Adding several of these to my list immediately.
Aw man, I just realized that though my husband wouldn't pass muster (he reads online and collects vinyl), prospective husband-fuckers would come to our apartment and see MY library. Those Y2K lit journals are stolen valor, PHFs!
So many interesting book recs here! Also so excited for your new novel. I really loved This Time Tomorrow. And yay for husbands who read! I'm glad I married one of those!

Just forwarded this excellent list to my husband☺️
Nice feature and I appreciate a guy's perspective on what to read. I'll check these out for sure!

Playworld is the best book I read in 2025. I am amazed it did not get more recognition.
Saving this one so I can read these books! Thanks, Mike! (and Emma)
This is terrific, Emma. Mike should start writing a Substack. I’d read it! Love to you both.
Adam Ross is 🔥
Just added many more books to my TBR list!!!! Thanks Mike!
