Roxane Gay! Zoe Kazan! Lemonade!
I love paperback book parties. I love hardcover releases too, of course, but those carry a lot of anxiety, whereas paperback parties are fun. This time, I had a vision—Crying in Public. The best part of my book tour has been crying with people in public, and so, that’s the plan. It’s no fun to cry alone, though, and so I invited some friends! Joining me to tell stories about crying in public will be….
The one and only Roxane Gay! Famous for being the world’s preeminent Bad Feminist and for loving baby elephants and Channing Tatum!
The one and only Jenny Han! The person responsible for dividing the world into Conrad and Jeremiah teams and for TV’s best soundtracks!
The one and only Zoe Kazan! Do you know that Zoe has starred in/worked in more prestige literary adaptations that anyone else, ever? (Olive Kitteridge, The Plot Against America, Revolutionary Road, She Said, East of Eden, I’m probably forgetting a hundred more!)
And the one and only Grady Hendrix! I’ve read three of his books this year! One of my booksellers just got a tattoo of a line from his latest book, photo below!
So if you’re in NYC and want to join us, tickets available here! It’s going to be in the store on Montague Street, so supplies very limited, but fret not if you can’t come, because I’m having a lemonade stand the following weekend and that will be fun for all! With free lemonade and cookies.
Here is my whole tour schedule!

Hope to see you soon!
