Wow! Get that blockhead energy going and tour tour tour LOL in Bath I recommend the Marshfield Farms Ice Cream so good. Bath is just one of the loveliest and charming places I have ever been to! I was also just there for a few hours!
I just went to Bath (And Mr. B's!!!) in January (the Mr. B's tote bag is capacious and I use it daily) and my biggest rec is to download and watch Northanger Abbey 1987 on the plane if you can't sleep and then all the other adaptations you can fit in, but I'd never seen either of the Northanger Abbeys and I really enjoyed them!! They're funny!!
Everyone is going to recommend The Raven, and the Raven was wonderful, but I had a really incredible evening at The Grapes listening to Irish trad and getting to know a group of British and Irish young people (lol) and it just was really heartwarming and I'll remember them for the rest of my life.
I have a friend who just moved to Bath, I will give her a heads up. I will be over there this summer and will keep an eye on any of your events that may come up. I am going to try to do some sort of author signings while I am over there too, would love any connections to good places to go, people to talk to, since I am in the US. Thanks and have a great time!
Dear Emma, I will be at your BookBar event with our mutual love Priyanka, and I cannot wait to meet you! Bath is so very Bath. If you have time for a dip in the actual spa that is very close to the station, I highly recommend it. This is, I realise now, not a Jane Austen tip but more of a "writers on book tour need healing waters" tip. Safe travels and see you soon!
Persephone Books, OBVIOUSLY!!
Came here to say this!
same!!!!!!!!!!!! https://persephonebooks.co.uk/
Same!
"part Jane Austen and part Vh1" is the best blurb I've EVER HEARD. (and so TRUE!)
Love the UK cover because it seems like something you would wear! Also, pink and green are an elite color combo.

Fantasy Life!
In Bath, you must eat a Sally Lunn bun with strawberry jam and clotted cream!
Couldn’t agree more with Lena! 😍
The woman on the UK book cover looks like you! Fabulous dress/cover up/whatever! 🩵
You wouldn’t be able to fit in into an hour or two, but on another trip visit Jane Austen’s House in Chawton.

I’m gutted that I can’t make it to your BookBar event. But thanks for including us!!
(And by us I mean London, sadly I am not on staff at BookBar)
Wow, two of my favorite former students/writers! Please give Lena my love if you’re in touch with her again. And have a lovely time in the UK! <3 <3
Lovely, lovely bookstores in Bath
Bath Abbey is worth a look if you have a spare half hour
