You are amazing! Reading your stuff always makes my day. The kids on your book tour are very very lucky.

Glad you could make lemonade out of lemons...sad for the kids who didn't get to meet a wonderful author and have fun with hats! Just bought a melt the guns t-shirt and some fun gel pens off your website. Love your writing and what you stand for - thank you for both!

And please come to Chicago.....so very happy that IL is now the 9th state to ban assault weapons. WTH 9/50. That is pathetic but progress! I will now go back to smiles, Buccky

and hats!

Buc-ee's really does have the most wonderful bathrooms. You didn't mention their homemade potato chips though (I buy four bags and pretend I am buying for an entire family!). Congrats on your new book!

My 3 yr old grandson got his copy of Very Good Hats in the mail today and it was his bedtime story tonight. my daughter reports that he and his dad were “laughing up a storm.” I can’t wait to read it to him myself when I visit next month. 👩‍🍳🧢👒💂‍♀️🎩👷‍♂️❤️

I grew up in Houston and went to Stratford which is the high school right behind Blue Willow. I went to that bookstore my entire life. When I worked at the drugstore next door in the photo lab, I would take my smoke breaks and meander over and look at the new books in the window. So happy that this bookstore survived Barnes and Noble and outlived Borders. The same creaky wood floors are now being walked on by a new generation of readers.

Also, Katy is a bunch of hicks so I wouldn’t feel bad. They’re good at football but not so much book-learning.

Keep up the good spirits. This is someone else's misfortune that they were not able to meet you.

All the best for your next trip to the same venue.

I came to Seattle PDX on tour once about 10 years ago and no one showed up so I think my publishers have decided that I am not for the PNW. Alas.
