I'm Setting Sail!
Alert: Giant Book Tour Ahead!
Am I tired just looking at this? I am. Am I grateful that my publisher wants to send my dog-n-pony show out into the world? I am. Am I worried that no one will show up? I am. Am I planning my outfits? I am. Am I spending too much money on my outfits? I am. Am I going to overshare at every single one of these events? I am. Am I worried about how many meals I’m going to have to eat at airports? I am. Am I going to look up restaurants where I can eat fresh vegetables in every city? I am.
All the events are linked here, and when tickets are available, that’s where they will be! Some tix are already available! I will also post this again a hundred times. I am so excited for these conversations—many of the events are with dear friends of mine, like Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is doing my Brooklyn launch, and Priyanka Mattoo, who is doing my OC event, and Cathy Berner at Blue Willow, who loves boybands more than I do! There are amazing writers up in here! Beatriz Williams in Connecticut, THEE Lauren Groff in Gainesville, Laura Zigman in Boston, Meg Wolitzer on Lawn Guyland, Alison Espach in MA! Rebecca Wallwork, who literally wrote the book on NKOTB, is doing my event in Miami. Anne Helen Petersen is going to make me look smart in Seattle! Susanna Goddamn Hoffs is going to bring her twinkly pixie rock n roll energy to Los Angeles! It’s going to be amazing. Come! You should come. Why wouldn’t you come?
If you live in/know one of these cities, please leave me a comment and tell me your favorite salad in town. I will need that salad wicked bad.
**Also please note that there IS a chance that once I do my event in Santa Barbara, where they are putting me up in a magical little cottage, that I will simply be forced to live there forever and cancel the rest of the tour. So just know that, if you live in a place where I am supposed to be after Santa Barbara. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

1) When you’re in Boston/Cambridge, if you have someone nice to drive you there, it is worth the ride to My Other Kitchen in Belmont for the Greek salad topped with chicken gyro. Their homemade dressing is ridiculous.
2) I had a dream the other night that I did a book event with you, and most of the people left after you were done talking because they were mostly there to see you (except my parents). Then I totally choked at my part, and everyone knew I’d choked, but you were really nice about it. So thanks for that!
