1) When you’re in Boston/Cambridge, if you have someone nice to drive you there, it is worth the ride to My Other Kitchen in Belmont for the Greek salad topped with chicken gyro. Their homemade dressing is ridiculous.
2) I had a dream the other night that I did a book event with you, and most of the people left after you were done talking because they were mostly there to see you (except my parents). Then I totally choked at my part, and everyone knew I’d choked, but you were really nice about it. So thanks for that!
Emma! I was just telling my book club last night that you have a new book, and that I will have to see you in Chicago. BUT, no Chicago?!? Will you come later? I don't think I can convince my husband that I have to go somewhere like Santa Barbara just for a book tour...
If you come, I'll find you lots of spots for great vegetables, I promise!
Not quite a salad but the green goddess bowl at Life Alive in the Boston area! There are multiple locations, including one in Harvard Square. They also have lots of salads. It's perfect for when you're traveling and craving some nutrients.
Highly recommend Little Kim in Ann Arbor for the best vegetarian Korean lunch. Delicious creative salads and the fried tofu sandwich is legit. Or its sister restaurant right next door, Miss Kim’s. Thanks for coming to Ann Arbor! Literati rules
Yay for your Ann Arbor stop! One of my favorite salads here is at Jerusalem Garden. Their fatoosh salad is a revelation with tiny chopped cucumbers and tomatoes.
The Carthage Salad at El Harissa in Ann Arbor. And the Kale salad at Echelon. If you go to Zingerman’s you can survive on a Cypress salad, but there are better things on the menu (like Mary’s Commute or the Georgia Rueben).
Tix for NY here! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/offsite-emma-straub-american-fantasy-w-lin-manuel-miranda-tickets-1983634319648?aff=oddtdtcreator

You did great!!!
Thank you so much.
Nothing in the DC area?? I’m bummed! I suppose seeing you and Lily King in the same year would be asking a bit too much…

Echo the Chicago sentiment! Please come!

See you in New Hampshire! I’m no salad connoisseur, but the Ipsento latte at Revelstoke is worth writing home about.

Congrats on the new book - wish you were coming to Portland, ME on your book tour!!!
Do you have plans to come to England? We have vegetables!!

In SF you MUST go to Souvla, just 3 blocks from your event :)
CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!!! Will develop a new playlist.
