Better yet, let's send the entire MAGA/DOGE gang to outer, outer space.. or, even better yet, let's send them to Gaza or an El Salvadoran prison with no money and no protection and no shoes.
How wonderful to see this as I opened my email this morning! If I can’t have your next book yet, some lovely, humorous Emma Straub words about Italy are the next best thing. Loved hearing about your trip and loved the fuck RFK to infinity even more. ❤️
We were in Venezia at the same time! I'm working on my next novel, partially set there, and it's not a hardship to do research in that impossible city. I am lamenting the fact that I was at the Guggenheim for at third time and I still somehow have missed the plaque to her dead dogs. But I do have a shot of a bench in the garden with a sentiment that resonated with me hard this trip, which reads "SAVOR KINDNESS BECAUSE CRUELTY IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE LATER."
Fantastic Emma. A couple years ago I went to Florence in late June and the heat (105 each day) was unbearable but we got out each day and enjoyed the sites. Glad to hear you had a good trip.
I f***ing love you for your closing remarks.
Indeed! Huzzah!

Thank you for a wonderful tour of your tour! Welcome home, but yeah, he sucks A LOT. You are awesome , though, so thanks for sharing. Xo
This is absolutely the kind of travel news all parents can use.
Emma, you are a ray of sunshine! Never been to Europe but can enjoy a vicarious jaunt through your lovely narrative.

The Botticelli room at the Uffizi blew my mind. So many rooms of dark, mostly flat work, and then a huge room of larger-than-life figures and light!
This was such a great share, I felt it all.
Glad you had a good time. I agree Fuck RFK jr and his brainworm.
Best newsletter ever, perfection!!
Ooh I loved this!!
The Ferragamo museum is the best!
The ending made me laugh out loud. We’re going in June. Thx for the tips.
Thanks for sharing! What a treat. I hate traveling but would go back to Italy now
