Stunned to realize that Min Jin Lee is a person like all of us and not an eternal goddess of letters... Well, I suppose she still is. Even 4, maybe 5 years after reading Pachinko it is still one of my all-time favorite books.

That logo joyfully captures the warmth and laser-edged curiosity of a seemingly wild and peripatetic feline. Ahhhh...the conundrum presented: does the cat think of Emma, or is Emma imagining the cat? Brilliant. And quite a steal for a mere pack o'Pokemon.

When our kids were little and worked at the bookstore, payment was one item from the grocery store or a meatball sub sandwich.
