I hope you heal without any chaos! As a Canadian I have to recommend watching North of North, which was just released on Netflix and is an absolutely fantastic sitcom set in an Inuit community in the far north with a loveably flawed protagonist and a bunch of delightful, quirky side characters. Also the absolute best (worst!) bad date scene I've ever seen on television.
I’d imagine you’ve already watched the new Four Seasons on Netflix. The original starring Alan Alda and Carol Burnett is also very good. Now watching Man on the Inside and laughing out loud
And the original is also showing on Netflix! Recommend watching it first, then the new series. Any film with the late Sandy Dennis is a treat, she made so few....
Hope you’re feeling better soon, Emma! I’d recommend both seasons of Andor on Disney+, absorbing AND entertaining (Tony Gilroy! Diego Luna!). In a totally different direction, you may also enjoy The Newsreader on AMC…
Thirding this. Derry Girls slays me every time. So damn funny. I'm glad you got good doctors and are recovering okay. Medical stuff sucks and it's so rare to have a doctor actually listen to you, right? I've had a chronic illness since childhood and you should have listened to some of the crap nurses and doctors have said to me over the years. I shit you not when I say a nurse asked me if I was a fat baby when they learned I had diabetes since I was 4.
Rest up, and heal well, Emma! I’m so glad you got this taken care of - sorry that you’ve had to live with it for so long.
At the end of a long working day and kids and dinner and cleanup, an episode of Younger is so much fun, easy and lighthearted. And it’s set in the publishing world, so you know it’s true to life. Har har. Enjoy and heal!
1) I think ARQ is probs coming back just for you. 2) Getting one of these brushes after a visit is my v favorite part about going to get my teeth cleaned. 3) Haven't had stationery with my name on it since I was a kid and shall be remedying immediately. 4) Watched the entirety of A Man on the Inside when I had a tooth extraction this winter (least fave part of the dentist) and I don't know if it was the drugs or the show, but it rly got me through it. Hope you're feeling yourself v soon!
You've maybe even already mentioned this in your blog-o-sphere, Better Things on Hulu is delightful in a dark-comedic way. Mikey Madison (Anora) is one of the three daughters of this single mom badass in LA. Also, The Day of the Jackal is like a travel show with intrigue and gunplay.
While I endured the flu over the holidays I watched The Great Pottery Throwdown…all the seasons. Always delightful, sometimes mind numbing and occasionally perverse. A great comfort watch. Also watched Broad City (again) and laughed so hard it hurt (which on second thought might not be the best recommendation for your recovery). But laughter is healing! ♥️♥️♥️
Hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm 47 and dealing with very similar things. It is not for the faint of heart! Something light and entertaining to watch is Hannah Rickets on YouTube. She's all over London neighborhoods, restaurants, stores and has that perfect English humor. Another easy watch on YouTube is Claire Saffitz, I always enjoy her shows. Real TV-wise, if you missed Bunheads, that's a great one. Even if you saw it, it's a great rewatch.

North of North is a GIFT! Please let there be a second season with many more episodes than this one. The lead actress is my favorite person right now!
If you haven't watched The Residence (Netflix) yet, it is a delight.
A delight is EXACTLY how I'd describe it too.
Also second this, just finished it last night! Definitely worth a watch.

I second "Man on the Inside!" Funny, heartwarming, it will be healing for your body and soul, Emma.

Sending healing vibes! If you want to have your main brain OFF but your soapy loving, drama-brain ON, "Ransom Canyon" on Netflix is for you
I started watching! perfection.
Watch Derry Girls. But it might make you belly laugh, which might hurt, but it will be worth it.
I totally second this!! Absolutely so funny & endearing!! Netflix.

Do you take home the socks?

Did you just now get the email from ARQ? They are coming back!

Came here to say this I’m SCREAMING https://shoparq.com/password?srsltid=AfmBOopwunQnmXymXt3VV1asEfcJvsbDfzanqxz3srfKYg2Z8yUQFIIc
I bought silver hoop earrings. Not exactly revolutionary but I’m SO UNCOOL … and they are.
My tiny little studs are in shock waiting for some attention. They stay home now. 😀
Feel better, Emma!
I'm so glad you're outta surgery! Hope you get some good bed-rotting in (watch The Residence!) also that jumpsuit is CUTE <3 <3

LOVE the pottery show!
