Thank you for your beautiful newsletter! Each time it feels like reading a letter from a friend, and every time you mention your Dad I cry (or almost cry!) because I lost my dad earlier this year, and you say everything I feel.
I’m impressed (or envious?) that you braved the crowds (with your family!) at Woodbury Commons. That gorgeous coat is your prize for that trek, retail therapy FTW.
I love that coat for you and I love the deal you got on it and I love how much you love and miss your dad. And I am 1000% about retail therapy. Sending hugs and major sweater weather / cashmere coat vibes.
Loved your retail therapy notes. Reading it aloud to my husband and starting our day laughing. I've heard you speak several times, most recently in Brielle NJ sponsored by Peter at Booktowne, and have assured my husband you are funnier in person. Help me with the sizing on le Bon Shoppe tee? Oversized? Maybe the same as Everlane? I'm always searching for the perfect tee. Can't wait for your next book.
I like that coat so much. I was exhausted and bummed out last week and venting to my bestie on the phone. The next day she sent me a link to a weird, beautiful dress with no comment. I was all, "Why did you do that? Now I have to buy this crazy dress." And she was all, "BUY THE DRESS." And I bought the dress.
Your post is exactly what I needed this morning after waking up feeling mildly guilty about the presents for myself that came in the mail yesterday. Thank you for validating my retail therapy!
I think about this all the time, how retail therapy works! I bought a sequin dress from Never Fully Dressed over the weekend on a loved one who is no longer with us' birthday. I think he would have approved.
Have been eyeing Sabahs for far too long... maybe this was the push I needed? This time of year always makes me want to shop for cozy things - this year I am turning to Poshmark and my local thrift stores.
I love Le Bon Shoppe's Cloud Socks-- I look forward to wearing them every winter, and I gift them to everyone. Will add one of those t-shirts the next time I order.
Your dad definitely sent you that coat ❤️

Highly recommend gem.app, which lets you search/set alerts for all the resale sites at once (TRR, ebay, poshmark, et al) 🙌🏼
Whoa, next level!
Love this!
You dad would definitely approve of all the retail therapy, especially that fabulous coat. Hugs during this very difficult season.
Awww, retail therapy is the best. Cute stuff. I need that sweatshirt too, I think. And the shoes, yes the shoes I need those too. xoxo
